ANDREW ALMACK - CEO / FOUNDER
Andrew’s career has been dedicated to using plastic waste as an enabler of sustainable livelihoods for the urban poor. In 2018, Andrew was named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list of innovators and disruptors who are reshaping their industries and changing Asia for the better.
Andrew has catalyzed several global brands and manufacturers to replace the use of virgin plastic with ethically sourced recycled plastic, thereby immediately improving the social and environmental impact of their products.
Myriam Shankar - COO
Myriam brings over 30 years of experience as a project manager of large scale international projects and has worked as part of senior leadership teams in the fields of logistics, strategy, supply chain management, online and offline business processing, cost allocation modelling, risk management, compliance, audit, and event management.
She unites skills of ‘matchmaking’ exceptional individuals and teams along with the ability to propel purposeful thought and action to create social and environmental change.
Srinidhi Kashyap - Development Manager
Srinidhi is no stranger to the SWM world, with over 6 years of experience in the sector of environment and waste management. He holds a masters degree in Environmental Science from University of Mysore and is currently pursuing a diploma in Environmental Law from National Law University, Bengaluru. Srinidhi has rich experience as a #wastewarrior, working most recently with IIWM and GIZ in e-waste recycling, SWM, and hazardous waste management. Besides engaging with the informal sector, Srinidhi has worked in industry on waste management audits, vendor assessments and consulting cradle to cradle approach.
CHANDAN MC - Director - Programs and Development
Chandan is a young energetic sustainable development professional with 11 years of rich experience in end-to-end project management, delivery, partnership management, strategy, operations, and community relations. Have a high proficiency in sustainability and multi-stakeholder management. He was instrumental in establishing the foothold of an INGO in South India with his credible stakeholder network. He brings with him evidence-based business solution development acumen. He holds post graduation in social work from Bangalore University.
Shifrah Jacobs, Director - Corporate Partnerships
With 14 years of experience, my core expertise lies in the area of CSR investment portfolio management, business development and marketing for the social sector. Throughout my career, my major responsibilities have included business development, building strategic partnerships, initiating communications strategy, account planning, campaign design and execution and maintaining relationships both with clients and impact partners. Over the last few years I have had the privilege to work with a prestigious gamut of corporate companies and brands to help them derive social goodwill through relevant investments
AKASH SHETTI- DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Akash has 5 years of work experience in waste management sector. After completing Msc in Environmental Science from Bangalore University he has worked on Tetra Pak cartons recycling, e-Waste and solid waste management by developing a network of waste pickers, scrap dealers, SME’s etc.. to channelize the waste from informal sector towards formal recycling facility. Also he has managed a solid waste management project designed he designed a waste management system and greening awareness activities to improve overall environmental sustainability and working conditions in respective transport hubs.
HARISH KUMAR- SUPPLY CHAIN COORDINATOR
For the past three years, Harish has committed himself to the solid waste management sector in Bangalore. He began his career surveying scrap dealers and wholesalers in the Bangalore informal sector, working with Hasiru Dala. He has been involved in training and supporting waste pickers and Dry Waste Collection Centers to improve their processes, coordinating with BBMP officials to present issues faced by waste pickers in Karnataka, and managing a PET bottle collection between waste pickers and aggregators to send for recycling. Harish obtained his Masters of Social Work in Human Resource Management from Bangalore University.
