THE PROCESS
Fair-Trade Sourcing Platform
Our plastic is sourced by our aggregation centres from informal waste collectors and scrap shops that are paid fair prices for the material - which is then segregated, goes through quality checks, and made into bales.
Cleaning & Sorting
The bales are then deconstructed and the bottles go through a pre-wash, followed by removal of impurities. Our partner facility facilitates automated polymer sorting.
Washing
The material then goes through a sophisticated cleaning process with label removal, wet crushing, exhaustive hot wash, rinsing and drying process of flakes, with automatic metal and color sorting for the output.
SSP Extrusion
The clean flakes then go through a technically advanced decontamination process during which they are melted and created into food contact ready rPET pellets for your use.
